Where is Yamba
Yamba is situated in the Northern Rivers region of the NSW North Coast. The closest airport is in Ballina, an hour’s drive away.
Coming from Queensland, Yamba is under 2.5 hours’ drive from the Gold Coast, less than 3 hours from Brisbane, and 4 hours from Toowoomba.
Coming from inland NSW, Yamba is under 3.5 hours’ drive from Armidale and 2.5 hours from Glen Innes.

While the bustling holiday vibes of Yamba are just minutes away, Angourie Resort boasts an incredible location in nature.
We’re tucked away quietly in lush coastal rainforest on the cusp of Yuraygir National Park, the longest stretch of undeveloped coastline in NSW. Here you’ll find coastal hikes, lakes, fishing, and surfing spots. At the resort you’ll encounter colourful birds, water dragons, frogs, and butterflies in their rainforest home.
We’re close to the beach, too. Pippi, Barri and Spooky beaches are all moments away, while the iconic Angourie Point surf break is a 7-minute drive away.
And for riverside strolls and bike rides, it’s just 1.5km to the shores of the Clarence River where you can grab fresh prawns, ice cream, and sunset views.
