Terms & Conditions for Angourie Resort Bookings

Welcome to Angourie Resort a My NRMA Destination!

It is important to us that you are well-informed when you make your booking with us so that happens you’ll need to understand our Booking Conditions. These are important because they:

  • outline the booking process including your payment options and how to cancel your booking; and
  • explain your obligations and what our obligations are to you.

By making a booking to stay at Angourie Resort (either directly with us or through our website), you accept these Booking Conditions on behalf of yourself and all other persons staying at Angourie Resort under your booking. If you made a booking with us via a telephone channel and were not provided with these Booking Conditions at the time of booking and you are not satisfied and do not wish to accept these Booking Conditions, you may cancel your booking and receive a full refund within 48 hours of being provided your booking confirmation email.

Please read these Booking Conditions carefully. Some terms used have a specific meaning given to them in the ‘Definitions’ section below.

These Booking Conditions do not apply to Group Bookings.

Important Information

Cancellation fees: If you cancel your booking because you have changed your mind, depending on your booking category, cancellation fees ranging from the first night’s accommodation to the total booking value may apply.  This does not apply to cancellations in limited circumstances due to causes beyond our control (see below for further details).
Refunds: Some refunds over a certain amount and refunds for payments made via payment plan, BPay and EFT may also take up to 30 days to be .
Liability:Your credit card may be charged a reasonable amount for non-return of keys and loan equipment, for items missing from the accommodation or damage to our property caused by you (or those staying with you).

Eligibility to book

Children are welcome at Angourie Resort but we do not accept bookings from persons under the age of 18. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult such as a parent or guardian. We reserve the right to cancel any booking where this condition is not met.

Your obligations

You agree that:

  • you are personally liable for the payment of the guest account for your booking and if the person, company or association indicated by you as being responsible for the payment of the account does not pay, your liability for the payment of the account will be joint and several;
  • any charges for guest services not billed at the time of departure, may be added to the account for settlement or charged to the same credit card used to pay the account, subject to an invoice being sent to you notifying you of any outstanding monies and all charges;
  • you may be charged a reasonable amount for non-return of keys and loan equipment, to replace items missing from the accommodation or any property of ours that is damaged by you (or those staying with you). This amount may be deducted from your credit card (following reasonable notice to you) or deducted from your cash bond upon check-out; and
  • if additional guests exceeding those contemplated in your booking wish to stay with you, further charges may apply and/or additional rooms may need to be booked by you or those additional guests.

Your Privacy

You acknowledge that we may collect your personal information to provide services to you and that we may not be able to provide services to you if we do not collect this information.  In addition, we may disclose your personal information to our related entities within the NRMA Group.  Your personal information may be used by us and our related entities to send you information and offers from NRMA Parks and Resorts and other businesses within the NRMA Group.

Securing your Booking

So that we can secure your booking when it is made, you must pay the full amount or a deposit equal to the first night’s accommodation rate. Bookings will not be guaranteed without a deposit or payment in full.

If you pay a deposit, the balance of your booking must be paid by the final payment date below:

For bookings placed on or after 1 February 2024:

  • Premium and high season: Final payment due 30 days prior to arrival
  • Low season: Final payment due on arrival

Security Bond

When you arrive at Angourie Resort, we will ask you to provide your credit card details to be held on file for the cost of any incidentals incurred by you during your stay.

Cancellations and Refunds

The Australian Consumer Law provides certain statutory guarantees for consumers which cannot be excluded, for example that services will be provided with due care and skill. Nothing in these Booking Conditions modifies, excludes or restricts those guarantees or the remedies that may be available to you if we breach them.

Do you want to cancel your booking?

We understand that sometimes plans change. If you change your mind about your booking, you may cancel it at any time prior to your intended arrival.

We may ask you to confirm your identity when making a cancellation request and the collection of any personal information will be in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Cancellation fees for accommodation are as follows for Angourie:

Low season:

Non-member

  • 14 days or more prior to arrival: nil
  • 13 days or less prior to arrival: agreed rate for one night per room cancelled

My NRMA member

  • 7 days or more prior to arrival: nil
  • 6 days or less prior to arrival: agreed rate for one night per room cancelled
High and premium seasons:

Non-member

  • 30 days or more prior to arrival: nil
  • 29 days or less prior to arrival: full booking value

My NRMA member

  • 14 days or more prior to arrival: nil
  • 13 days or less prior to arrival: full booking value

If your reservation requires full pre-payment at the time of booking (which includes our Advanced Purchase Rate and any offers, sales or package rates) it is non-refundable after booking.

If a deposit has not been paid, cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card held as a guarantee. If a deposit has been paid:

  • and the amount of the deposit is more than the cancellation fee then the cancellation fee will be deducted from the deposit and the balance of the deposit will be refunded.
  • and the amount of the deposit is less than the cancellation fee then the deposit will be taken in part payment of the cancellation fee and the balance of the cancellation fee will be charged to the credit card held as a guarantee.

No refund will be given for any unused services, non-arrival or as per individual rate policy selected.

There are different terms that apply to the cancellation of Group Bookings.

Some other things that you need to know if you choose to cancel your booking are:

  • Third Party Bookings: We are unable to process cancellations for bookings made via certain online travel agents (e.g. Expedia, Wotif, Booking.com etc.).  You will need to contact these parties directly with any cancellation requests.
  • Refunds will be processed to the same payment method which was used to pay for the booking and the following conditions apply:
    • For refunds of less than $1,000, the refund will be processed at the time of cancellation unless the initial payment was via payment plan, BPay or EFT;
    • For refunds of more than $1,000 or for payments made via payment plan, BPay and EFT, you will be required to complete a refund request form which will be sent to you via email. Refunds can then take up to 30 days to be processed;
  • Credits: Instead of a refund, you may choose to receive a credit for your cancelled booking.  This will be the value of the booking less any cancellation and administration fees.  You can use the value of your credit for future bookings. The following conditions apply in relation to credits:
    • Credits can only be used towards the value of accommodation bookings;
    • Credits are not available for bookings made via online travel agents, Expedia and Wotif; and
    • Credits are valid for 12 months from the date a booking was cancelled and are fully refundable during that period.
  • My NRMA: If you signed up for My NRMA at the time of making your booking, any cancellation of your booking will not impact that membership which will be ongoing unless you cancel directly with My NRMA in accordance with any applicable terms and conditions. What if we need to cancel your booking?

If we are unable to provide our Services to you due to causes beyond our control (such as flooding, earthquake fire or pandemics), we will not be in breach of this agreement but will refund or provide you with a credit for monies paid by you under this agreement for anything we can no longer supply. If we need to cancel in these circumstances, we will send you a SMS and/or email advising you of the situation and how you can claim your refund or credit.

Membership Discounts, Promotions and Special Offers

MY NRMA MEMBERS SAVE ON STAYS

All membership discounts are available to direct bookings on the “Standard Rate” only – this includes bookings made directly at our property, call centre and website. All discounts apply to only room per member per booking.

NRMA members  
Members of National Roads and Motorists’ Association are eligible for exclusive discounts throughout the year at Angourie Resort:

Bookings during low seasons: 

10% discount uncapped

Bookings during high and premium seasons: 

10% discount capped to the value of $60

All offers are subject to availability and specific exclusion dates may apply as outlined at time of booking.
Existing bookings cannot be cancelled and rebooked under this offer.

Please mention your membership upon booking and present your card upon arrival at the park. If you are not a member please ask one of our friendly staff how to join.

Auto Club Members 
Members of Auto Clubs within the Australian Automobile Association are eligible for a 10% discount on their booking at Angourie Resort, capped at $40 and not valid in high and premium seasons*. Please mention your membership upon booking and present your membership card upon arrival at the property. Applicable auto clubs include RACV, RACQ, RAA, RAC, RACT and AANT

Angourie Resort offers holiday packages and accommodation specials on a regular basis. So whether you’re from interstate or overseas and planning a wonderful holiday in Yamba, or you’re a local looking for a couple of days in paradise, keep an eye out for our special offers.

Definitions

In these Booking Conditions:

  • “this agreement” means our agreement with you comprising these Booking Conditions and the Privacy Policy;
  • “Booking Conditions” means these terms and conditions;
  • “Angourie Resort” means Australian Tourist Park Management Pty Ltd (ACN 061 270 513) trading as Angourie Resort, which is a wholly owned subsidiary in the NRMA Group;
  • “NRMA Group” means the group of companies owned by the National Roads & Motorists Association Limited (ACN 000 010 506);
  • “NRMA Parks and Resorts” means the hotels, lodges, holiday parks owned, operated or managed by us and offered for bookings on our website;
  • “our Services” means the provision of accommodation and related services that we provide to you under this agreement;
  • “Privacy Policy” means the privacy policy for NRMA Parks and Resorts which can be located on our website here;
  • “we”, “our” or “us” means Angourie Resort;
  • “You” and “your” means the person making the booking and any person in the party you are booking for or who you or they are responsible for while using our Services.

Bookings before 31 Jan 2024

Changes to your Booking & cancellation policy – Low Season:

  • Date changes incur an administration fee of 10% per night and must be confirmed 7 days prior to arrival
  • Cancellation of reservation more than 7 days prior to arrival incur a fee of 20% of 1-nights’ stay
  • Cancellation of reservation less than 7 days prior to arrival will be a loss of your deposit in full

Changes to your booking & cancellation policy – High & Peak Season:

  • Date changes or cancellations of nights booked incur an administration fee of 20% per night and must be confirmed 21 days prior to arrival or the full amount of cancelled night/s is payable
  • Cancellation of reservation within 7 days of your arrival date will result in full loss of payment
  • Cancellation of reservation more than 21 days prior to arrival incur a fee of 1-nights’ stay
  • Cancellation of reservation less than 21 days prior to arrival will be a loss of your deposit in full

Covid-19 Cancellations:
Reservations made after 14th March 2020 will fall under the relevant Low, High, or Peak season cancellation policy. After the declaration of COVID-19 as a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation, COVID-19 and its consequences are no longer unforeseen or unexpected therefore transportation disruptions, border closures, health advisories and quarantines and other government mandates such as evacuation orders, prohibitions on short term rentals, shelter in place requirements and any other COVID-19 or other pandemic related travel disruptions fall under regular cancellation policy.
