Yamba Real Wedding – Enchanted Autumn Wedding

After being introduced by mutual friends, Zachary and Alissandra hit it off instantly. Together, they made their long-distance romance from Singleton to Albury stand the test of time. Both dedicated to their jobs and study, they spent their weekends and the little time they had together adventuring as a couple. With a beautiful spring proposal surrounded by fresh blooms and stunning scenery, the two declared their love by committing to a lifetime of adventures together. The botanical theme became a reflection of their personal wedding style. Alissandra used the online convenience of Pinterest to help plan the nuptials and was amazed at how the Angourie Resort team brought her vision to life. As you can see, the enchanted tones suited the couple beautifully, with a magical rain forest backdrop, Alissandra was gleaming in her Grace Loves Lace ‘Harriet’ and the charming smile on Zac’s face echoes the emotions felt by everyone that day.

How did the two of you meet? Please tell us your story
We met when at Austin College in Armidale when I went to visit my best friend for a weekend of partying, who happened to be friends with Zac as well. When she introduced us we instantly hit it off and have been inseparable ever since.

How did he/she propose?
Zac proposed on a sunny spring morning in the Albury botanical gardens. I was working and living in Albury and he was in Singleton, every couple of weekends he’d fly down to visit me and we’d spend the weekend exploring. It was a Sunday morning, just before he had to board his flight that we went for a walk through the gardens, we found a beautiful spot to sit where the flowers were blooming all around us, he got down and one knee and popped the question! It was so beautiful and private, I loved it.

Why did you choose Angourie Resort as your venue?
I liked the idea of having the ceremony and reception and accommodation for our guests all at the one place. I liked that the resort had its own wedding planners (who were amazing) and nothing had to be outsourced, it was a one stop shop! I also fell in love with the scenery around the resort and knew there were many amazing photo opportunities.

Did you have a theme?
I didn’t really have a set theme for the wedding, Pinterest helped me do most of it. I ended up going with a pretty neutral colours and adding colour through flowers. Jess and Danielle were amazing at turning my Pinterest dreams into reality!

Describe your day and how you both felt
We were so full of love and happiness the whole day neither of us could wipe the smiles off our faces! It was so special to have both of our family and friends in the one place.

What was the stand out moment for you?
It’s so hard to just pick one, every moment was special and fun. We took a few minutes together on the bridge over the pond just before we made our entrance into the reception. It was really nice to have that alone time and take the whole day in just the two of us.
